D Im Kontrast zwischen Humor, Missverständnis, Romantik und Vertrautheit sind Amanda Burzić’s Werke verortet. Mit Hingabe zur Reproduktion eignet sie sich intime Gegenstände an und manipuliert sie, bis sie sich zwischen Erinnerung, Imitation und Kitsch auflösen.
Geboren 1994 in Salzburg, studierte Amanda Burzić Malerei & Grafik in Linz, wo sie bis 2022 Resident Artist im Atelierhaus Salzamt war. Seit 2017 ist sie Gründungsmitglied des Kollektivs EDITION:. Neben zahlreichen Ausstellungen im In- und Ausland hat sie Residency-Aufenthalte von Bad Gastein bis Chicago absolviert. Amanda Burzić lebt und arbeitet in Wien.
E Amanda Burzić’s works occupy a space in the contrast between humour, misunderstanding, romanticism, and intimacy. Inspired by a passion for reproduction, she appropriates intimate objects and manipulates them, until they dissolve between memory, imitation, and kitsch.
Born in Salzburg, in 1994, Amanda Burzić studied painting and graphic art in Linz, where she was also resident artist at the Atelierhaus Salzamt until 2022. Since 2017, she has been a founding member of the EDITION: collective. Besides numerous exhibitions at home and abroad, she spent residencies in various places, from Bad Gastein to Chicago. Amanda Burzić lives and works in Vienna.
