D Erde & Plastik ist eine Arbeit, die intensiv an der Schnittstelle von zeitgenössischem Tanz, Performance und Installation forscht. Ausgangspunkt ist die Untrennbarkeit von Körper und Natur, sowie die kritische Bestandsaufnahme des menschlichen Umgangs mit der Natur. Die Themen Kontrolle, (Selbst-)Optimierung und persönliche Freiheiten werden dabei mittels Handstandakrobatik und mit Video- und Installationskunst beleuchtet.
Erde & Plastik wurde von Verena Schneider & Jana Kilbertus entworfen und 2022 erstmals als work in progress in den Soho Studios im Rahmen von „Planted Futures“ präsentiert. Im Rahmen der Premierentage wird in der Bäckerei die Performance ERDE & PLASTIK mit dem Musiker Lukas Bamesreiter präsentiert.

Verena Schneider, geboren in Wörgl (Tirol), ist Performerin, Choreografin, Akrobatin und Tänzerin und bewegt sich mit ihren Arbeiten zwischen Innsbruck, Wien und Toulouse. Sie begann ein Biologiestudium an der Universität Innsbruck, entschloss sich aber dann für Ausbildungen an der FLIC Scuola di Circo (IT) und Le Lido ESAC Toulouse (FR) im Bereich zeitgenössischer Zirkus und Performancekunst. Neben eigenen Arbeiten war sie u. a. bei Doris Uhlich, Willy Dorner sowie für Bert Gstettner (Tanz*Hotel) als Tänzerin und Performerin tätig. Seit 2019 kuratiert und produziert sie spartenübergreifende Arbeiten mit dem Verein Freifall und entwickelt gemeinsam mit Charlotte Le May im Rahmen der bi-nationalen Company spartenübergreifende Projekte zwischen Introspektivem Zirkus, Tanz und Performance. Derzeit ist Verena Teil des zweijährigen Master-Choreography-Programms an der Fonty‘s/Codarts-Universität in den Niederlanden, um ihre eigene Research und ihre eigenen Arbeiten zu vertiefen.

E Earth & Plastic is a project that concentrates on the interface between contemporary dance, performance and installation. The starting point is the inseparability of body and nature, as well as a critical inventory of the human dealing with nature. The subjects of control, (self-)optimisation and personal freedoms in the process are shed light on by way of handstand acrobatics as well as video and installation art.
Earth & Plastic was conceived by Verena Schneider & Jana Kilbertus and, in 2022, was first presented as a work in progress at the Soho Studios in the context of “Planted Futures”. On the occasion of Premierentage, the performance Earth & Plastic will be presented together with musician Lukas Bamesreiter at the Bäckerei.

Verena Schneider, born in Wörgl (Tyrol), is a performer, choreographer, acrobat and dancer and with her projects moves between Innsbruck, Vienna and Toulouse. She began a biology course at the University of Innsbruck, then however decided to go for training courses at FLIC Scuola di Circo (Italy) and Le Lido ESAC Toulouse (France) in the fields of contemporary circus and performance art. Besides her own projects, she has also worked with Doris Uhlich and Willy Dorner as well as for Bert Gstettner (Tanz*Hotel) as a dancer and performer. Since 2019, she has been curating and producing multi-discipline projects with the Freifall association and, together with Charlotte Le May, projects moving between introspective circus, dance and performance in the context of the bi-national Company. Currently, Verena takes part in the two-year Master Choreography programme at Fonty’s/Codarts University in the Netherlands, in order to add new layers to her own research and her own projects.
