„Remake“

Garage Span zeigt bei der Premiere „Remake“ sowohl Arbeiten aus den vergangenen 38 Jahren als auch aktuelle Fotos, Videos und sogenannte Makulaturen sowie Objekte verschiedenster Art.

Diese sind oft in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Künstler*innen und anlässlich der Modeperformances wie zum Beispiel im Taxispalais, im MAK oder Tiroler Landesmuseum entstanden. Ein Schwerpunkt sind Fotoarbeiten und Videos aus der Zusammenarbeit mit Johannes Atzinger, Günther Kresser und Wally Witsch.

Die Objekte aus verschiedensten Materialien, Stoffarten, handwerklichen und grafischen Techniken spiegeln die spezielle Ästhetik der Mode von Garage Span in einem ganz anderen Kontext wider.

At its premiere Remake Garage Span presents both works from the past 38 years and recent photographs, videos and so-called spoilages, as well as objects of various kinds. These have often come about in collaboration with other artist and on the occasion of fashion performances, as for example at Taxispalais Innsbruck, MAK Vienna, or the Tyrolean State Museum. A special focus will be on photo works and videos from the collaborations with Johannes Atzinger, Günther Kresser, and Wally Witsch.

The objects, made of various materials, fabrics, and using a variety of artisanal and graphical techniques, reflect the special aesthetic of the Garage Span couture in a completely different context.
