Eine Auswahl von Objekten aus der Artothek des Bundes
Das Institut für Kunstgeschichte der Universität Innsbruck freut sich, bei den PREMIERENTAGEN wieder mit einer Ausstellung vertreten zu sein und an das erfolgreiche Format „Kunst im Gang“ an der Theologischen Fakultät anzuknüpfen. Wie der Titel bereits andeutet, zeigt die Ausstellung Objekte mit Volumina, gespeist aus der Sammlung der Artothek des Bundes. Diese umfasst Werke von Künstlerinnen und Künstlern mit Tirol-Bezug, die vom Institut für Kunstgeschichte betreut werden. Hier präsentiert werden Skulpturen und Objekte von den 1980ern bis zu den 2010ern.
Die zeitgenössischen Werke entfalten im historischen Gang der Theologischen Fakultät eine besondere Wirkung.Besucherinnen und Besucher sind eingeladen, Kunst in dieser spannenden Umgebung abseits des üblichen „White Cube“ zu erleben und in den Dialog zu treten. Wir freuen uns auf Ihren Besuch und inspirierende Gespräche über Kunst und ihren Raum. K U N S T in alle Richtungen.

A selection of objects from the federal picture-lending library
The Institute of Art History at the University of Innsbruck is pleased to be part of PREMIERENTAGE once again with an exhibition and to once more add to the successful format Kunst am Gang (lit. art in the corridor) at the Faculty of Theology. As the title already suggests, the current exhibition presents objects with a volume, deriving from the collection the federal picture-lending library. The latter comprises works of artists with a link to Tyrol, supervised by the Institute of Art History. The exhibition presents sculptures and objects from the nineteen-eighties down to recent years.
In the historical setting of the Faculty of Theology the contemporary works take on a special aura. Visitors are invited to experience art in this exciting setting beyond the usual white cube and to enter into a dialogue with it. We are looking forward to your visit and to inspiring conversations on art and its space. A R T in all directions.
